Race Waiver

I fully understand that my participation in the Crowley Road Race (hereinafter “EVENT”) is a potentially hazardous activity that exposes me to the risk of personal injury, death, or property damage. I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event, am medically able and properly trained and agree to assume any such risks associated with running in the event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, exhaustion, tripping over debris on the road or trail, colliding with other runners or onlookers. I hereby release, discharge, and agree not to sue the Crowley Road Race, its staff, the sponsors, the volunteers, and all others assisting in the operations of the event (“RELEASEES”) for any injury, death, or damage to or loss of personal property arising out of, or in connection with my participation in the EVENT from whatever cause, including the active or passive negligence of RELEASEES or any other participants in the EVENT. Having read this waiver, and knowing these facts, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I for myself and any person entitled to act on my behalf do hereby release and indemnify and hold harmless RELEASEES from any and all claims, demands, actions, or suits arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Crowley Road Race.

I hereby grant Crowley Road Race permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of Crowley Road Race and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize Crowley Road Race to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge Crowley Road Race from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
